Don't the Sun Look Angry Through the Trees?

I'm not one to post lyrics, but I got Warren Zevon's self-titled album for Christmas, and I remembered how much I love this song.  I'll limit myself to a snippet:
I was sitting in the Hollywood Hawaiian Hotel
I was staring in my empty coffee cup
I was thinking that the gypsy wasn't lyin'
All the salty margaritas in Los Angeles, I'm gonna drink 'em up

And if California slides into the ocean
(Like the mystics and statistics say it will)
I predict this motel will be standing until I pay my bill
Nobody does melancholia and sardonic depression like Warren Zevon.  :)

Hmmm. Be very, very afraid. (And I thought I was frightened before.) Was Over Sea, Under Stone deemed too dull for a crowd of 2007 children?

Clicky to comic source. (I'd also find someone who could do a better job with the text.)
