Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil
Pretty good, but I can't understand why it got as much adulation as it did when it was released... it's a standard legal flick that looked like it could have been penned by Grisham, IMHO. Kevin Spacey was, as usual, excellent, and John Cusack, as usual, managed to do his little spin move. You know, that little pirouette where he spins 360 while walking. Go, watch a film with him in it. You'll see it.Insomnia
Overall: eh, entertaining, but there's better out there.
Pacino, that chick from Boys Don't Cry, and Robin Williams are all pretty good in this one, but, if you go into it expecting a Memento-esque puzzle-fest, you're going to be disappointed. This film was an open book from scene one. It's always fun to see Williams trying to be bad-assed, though.
Overall: I'd queue it up before Garden, above, but don't expect too much out of it.
Hilary Swank -- that's her name. Whew.
